			Sciex's latest mass spectrum (MS), API 5000, can achieve higher sensitivity than the API 4000 by incorporating the QJet ion guide, which captures more ions and focuses the ion beam with improved ion transmission and sensitivity. When paired with Waters' latest state-of-the art liquid chromatography (LC), UPLC, and utilizing a small column, the system can analyze with increasing flow rates and throughout without a corresponding loss in signal while working with small content samples. JCL Bioassay Corp. is the first company in the world to adopt the UPLC & API 5000 LC/MS/MS combination, which offers premier advantages from past systems in: speed, high throughput and sensitivity. In utilizing such an advanced technique, JCL Bioassay raises it's already high-quality analysis services one step further.

			One advantage of the API 4000 system － our primary system － is its ability to introduce sufficient amounts of ions to an analytical section through an expanded skimmer diameter by use of an intense turbo pump vacuum. This introduction of sufficient amounts of ions to Q1 (the first MS) is a feature required in high performance analysis.

			LC/MS/MS, which has become essential in high performance analysis, has a higher sensitivity that RIA. This is accomplished by detecting the produced ion cleaved from the precursor ion, which was produced by the cleavage of the ionized analyte at Q1MS.
